In the sub-study the effects of digital technology on the archiving, distribution and creation of folk music are analysed. By means of survey forms and personal interviews professional and amateur musicians are questioned about their values concerning folk music, how they work and their expectations concerning folk music archives. Additionally individual musicians’ music making and attitudes towards technological change in a heavily tradition focused culture are analysed.
