When you have payed the membership in ÅAU Sports, you can take part of everything that´s in the schedule for free.
As a student at Åbo Akademi University, University of Applied Sciences Novia or Hanken School of Economics in Vaasa, you can even take advantage of the following benefits when you join ÅAU Sports:
Discounted membership fees for the Wasa Sports Club
· A one-year membership costs 49€/month (0€ registration fee), ÅAU Sports will also pay 5 €/months on your membership. You can also buy a so-called “1-11 month membership” for 59 € / month. You have the opportunity to terminate that agreement at any time and ÅAU Sports also sponsors here with 5 € / month
Discounted membership fee for Wasa Move
· A one-year membership costs 35.50€ (ÅAU Sports will sponsor you with 5.50€/month, thus bringing the fee down to 30€/month.) You may suspend your membership if you: are ill/injured; have summer employment in another city; are studying abroad; etc.
Discounted prices at Botniahall
· 50% off admission to Botniahall. This provides access to the track and field arena, gym (if it is available and not booked by some other group), ball game and multifunctional indoor arena as well as the gym. You can also join the group-training that they offer. If you need to rent, for example, a pair of inline skates, you must pay the entire rental fee yourself. You pay your member admission price at Botniahall.
Discounted prices at Vaasan Sähkö Areena (Ice Skating Hall)
· 50% off skating during public shifts as well as for the gym. Your member addmission is to be paid at Vaasan Sähkö Areena. The ice-skating hours in the ÅAU Sports scheduele is included in the memberfee. Please bring your own equipment.
Discounted prices at Tennis Center Vaasa
· 50% of ordinary price during the day (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays) when you play tennis (indoor), squash, padel, pickleball, tabletennis, snooker, billiard, gym and floorball (other times than Mondays at 21-22)
· Outdoor tennis is inclueded in the memberfee during autumn 2023.
Discounted prices at Padel X
As a member in ÅAU Sports you can buy game credits for a value of 100€, of which ÅAU Sports sponsors 40€. Contact elli (elli@padelx.fi) and inform her that you wish to buy game credits. You can then book tours and use your game credits.
Discounted prices at Vaasa Swimming Hall
2.00€/visit. The price of admission includes use of the gym and participation in water aerobics classes as well as swimming and use of the sauna. You show your ÅAU Sports sticker in the reception at the swimminghall and pay your share of the entrance there.
If you visit the swimminghall between 12 and 14 Tuesday-Friday – you pay only 1,50€/visit.
Discounted prices at the Wasa Yoga Center (WYC)
· 50% off a single class and a 10-class card. (max 1 × 10 class card/term) You pay your member price directly to WYC.
