Jag märkte först halvvägs att det var en abridged version, sjutton också därför var den hackig, trots att den hade potential att vara bra historisk roman som spänner över flera generationer. (men boken är över 1000 sidor, så jag vet inte om jag måste lyssna på så många skivor…). Jag har boken London i hyllan, men har inte läst den (den utkom 1997 och var antagligen bästsäljare då när jag kring den tiden var i London).

Det här är självbiografin av dottern till Betty Mahmoody (Not without my daughter – väl den bok som satte igång mitt (och många andras!) intresse för den här typens böcker. Och förstås nådde inte den här boken upp till hennes mammas bok!
