Pekka Santtila is Professor of Psychology and Global Network Professor at New York University (Shanghai). He is also Visiting Research Professor at Abo Akademi University. His current research is focused on improving the quality of investigative interviews and decision-making in alleged child sexual abuse cases and he is also interested in exploring the possibilities of using Virtual Reality technology to improve legal decision-making. Professor Santtila has provided investigative advice to the police, acted as an expert witness in numerous legal cases and consulted child sexual abuse investigations. He is a licensed psychologist and specialist in legal psychology (Finland).
