The conference has a limited number of bursaries on offer to help scholars attend the conference.

The bursaries include the conference registration fee and a contribution to the applicant’s travel expenses.

Eligibilty

The bursaries are intended to support scholars who otherwise find it difficult to attend the conference.

Only scholars who have had a paper proposal accepted for the conference can apply. The paper must also be presented at the conference.

Application

Should you wish to apply for a bursary, please send your application to the conference organizers (railimage.abo(a)gmail.com).

Deadline: 15 December 2026.

Your application should include the following:

• Contact details (name, address, email, telephone no.)
• Affiliation (current academic status, position)
• Title of accepted paper
• Motivational letter (max. 500 words) which explains the rationale for the application
• A well-justified estimate of the travel expenses

Decision

Applications are assessed by the conference organizers. Bursaries are awarded based on the quality of the paper proposal and the information provided in the application.

A decision on the application will be forwarded no later than 31 December 2026.
