Conference 2027 – Travel and Accommodation

Travel

The City of Turku is located in the south-western corner of Finland. It has good connections to the country’s other major cities as well as several destinations abroad.

There are regular railway services to Helsinki and Tampere from where most other domestic centers can be reached. There is also an extensive bus network covering the same area.

Turku has a large harbour where Viking Line’s and Silja Line’s passenger ferries offer daily connections to Stockholm. This links Turku to Swedish and Central European railway networks.

Turku can also be reached by plane. It has its own airport with regular connections to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Riga and Gdansk. The railway and bus networks also provide good links to Finland’s largest airport in Helsinki.
