{"id":13,"date":"2017-05-24T11:59:26","date_gmt":"2017-05-24T11:59:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs2.abo.fi\/shurea\/?page_id=13"},"modified":"2019-11-22T10:17:02","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T08:17:02","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs2.abo.fi\/shurea\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shurea is a <strong>cooperation project<\/strong> between the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abo.fi\/en\/institute-for-human-rights\/\">Institute for Human Rights<\/a> at\u00a0\u00c5bo Akademi University in Finland and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chr.up.ac.za\">Centre for Human Rights<\/a> at\u00a0University of Pretoria in South Africa,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aau.edu.et\/offices\/v_president-office\/office-of-the-academic-vise-president\/undergraduate-programs-office\/undergraduate-programs\/college-of-law-and-governance-studies\/law\/\"> School of Law <\/a>at\u00a0Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/law.mak.ac.ug\/\">School of Law<\/a> at Makerere University in Uganda and <a href=\"http:\/\/law-school.uonbi.ac.ke\">School of Law<\/a> at University of Nairobi in Kenya. The project aims at\u00a0<strong>improved capacity in research and research-based teaching in human rights in project countries<\/strong>. To achieve this, the emphasis in the project is on improving quality and availability of PhD training in human rights, and strengthening the role of human rights research in societal development processes.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cimo.fi\/programmes\/hei_ici_index\/programmes\/hei_ici\/projects\/shurea\">project<\/a> is funded through the<strong> Higher Education Institutions Institutional Cooperation Instrument (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cimo.fi\/programmes\/hei_ici\">HEI ICI<\/a>) of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland<\/strong>.
