It focuses on several different trends, such as &#8217;post-verbatim&#8217; theatre, &#8217;amplified storytelling&#8217;, and &#8217;gig theatre&#8217;, all of which incorporate speech and sound in unique ways. The book argues that these works contribute to a new understanding of theatre as an extra-literary activity, going beyond the traditional focus on the script. It is defined as teachers\u2019 empathic approach to learner needs, including being anticipative towards digitally pertained needs beforehand, as well as to be sensitive and responsive to learner needs in situ; especially socio-emotional needs of, for instance, psychological safety. Our latest study examining teachers&#8217; relationship-supporting strategies in distance education identified three main themes of teachers\u2019 digital relational competence: digital communication, digital presence, and digital responsiveness (Wiklund-Engblom &amp; Bonnevie, submitted). How do they experience their own executive orality? And what competence needs come into view linked to the experience of one&#8217;s own voice, presence, student relationship and of body and senses in teaching. The discussion takes the form of professional comments linked to knowledge of professional orality, expressive pedagogical methods and research into digital teaching and learning resources. I unders\u00f8kelsen er det blitt utforsket og artikulert hva muntlighet i norske skole kan v\u00e6re. Det har skjedd gjennom kvantitative og kvalitative empiriske unders\u00f8kelser basert p\u00e5 l\u00e6reres og elevers erfaringsbaserte forst\u00e5elser. Dette arbeidet om muntlighet i skolen kan plasseres innenfor forskningsfelt som \u00abmuntlighet\u00bb og \u00abretorikk\u00bb med en pedagogisk forankring. I tillegg reiser funnene fra denne studien relevante sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5l for fremtidig l\u00e6replanutvikling n\u00e5r det gjelder muntlighet som en grunnleggendekompetanse, knyttet til livsmestring, kritisk tenkning, danning, medborgerskap og demokrati.<\/p>\n<p>How is oracy perceived in Norwegian schools? The aim is to articulate and explore oracy in Norwegian schools through a mixed methods study based on teachers\u2019 and students\u2019 perceptions. The work with oracy in schools can be placed within the research field of oracy and rhetoric in the educational context.
