Conference subsidies for participants from low- and middle-income countries

Are you interested to participate in the summer school and conference but have no means to do it? The Polin Institute will cover fully or partially the following costs:

-travel tickets

-visa and travel insurance

-meals and accommodation

-conference fee

The eligibility and selection criteria are:

-You come from a low- or middle-income country and lack funding or have only partial funding (for the list of the countries see here). Applicants from the low-income countries are prioritized.

-You have sent or attach to the application a paper proposal of high academic quality.

The application should include:

-a letter of application where you state whether you have no or partial funding, and if partial, how much

-a cost estimate (that may be included in the above letter)

-a paper proposal

-a letter of reference from your PhD/ThD supervisor

All the documents above should be included in one PDF document and sent through the paper proposal submission link. For any further inquiries, contact rmisecretary@abo.fi.

The application deadline is 15 January, and you will be informed about the subsidy decision by 31 January in conjunction to the decision on your paper proposal.
