Before this, he taught in the English departments of Trinity College Dublin,\u00a0the University of Bristol and the University of\u00a0Aberdeen. He has also trained and\u00a0practised as a solicitor and is a co-founder of the Irish Network for the Legal Humanities. He is the author of\u00a0<em>Northern Irish Poetry and Domestic Space<\/em>\u00a0(Palgrave, 2015), and the co-editor (with Jane Griffiths) of\u00a0<em>Architectural Space and the Imagination: Houses in Art and Literature from Classical to Contemporary<\/em>\u00a0(Palgrave, 2020).
