H\u00e4lsoinformationsbeteende i e-h\u00e4lsokontext : inverkan av ett negligerat element i framg\u00e5ngsrik implementering av konsumentinriktade h\u00e4lsoteknologier f\u00f6r \u00e4ldre vuxna<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ett stigande antal \u00e4ldre medborgare och en \u00f6kande f\u00f6rekomst av l\u00e5ngtidssjukdomar tillsammans med betydande samh\u00e4llsf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar utmanar h\u00e4lsov\u00e5rdssystem i hela v\u00e4rlden. Trots optimistiska prognoser har m\u00e5nga e-h\u00e4lsotj\u00e4nster inte varit framg\u00e5ngsrika i att lansera h\u00e5llbara innovationer. Utm\u00e4rkande har varit att skapa e-h\u00e4lsosystem under antagandet att anv\u00e4ndaren \u00e4r medveten om sina h\u00e4lsorelaterade behov samt \u00e4r kapabel och intresserad av att m\u00f6ta dessa. F\u00f6r att bli effektiva borde e-h\u00e4lsotj\u00e4nsterna skr\u00e4ddarsys och riktas s\u00e5 att de beaktar anv\u00e4ndarnas h\u00e4lsoinformationsbeteende i sin helhet med h\u00e4nsyn till intressen, f\u00f6rm\u00e5gor och sociokulturell bakgrund. Syftet med projektet HIBA \u00e4r att forska i hur medborgarnas h\u00e4lsoinformationsbeteende p\u00e5verkar anv\u00e4ndning av konsumentinriktade h\u00e4lsoteknologier och hur dessa teknologier effektivt kan skr\u00e4ddarsys f\u00f6r \u00e4ldre vuxna som lider av typ 2 diabetes f\u00f6r att skapa individuellt och samh\u00e4lleligt merv\u00e4rde till traditionella h\u00e4lsov\u00e5rdstj\u00e4nster.<\/p>\n

Taking Health Information Behaviour into Account: implications of a neglected element for successful implementation of consumer health technologies on older adults<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The increase in the number of older adults and the incidence of long-term conditions like diabetes coupled with major societal changes are challenging conventional health care around the world. In spite of the promises, many e-health services have not been successful in bringing sustainable innovations. E-health systems have extensively been created assuming that consumers can identify their health needs and have the ability to meet them without taking into account the complexity of everyday life health information behaviour. To be really effective, health information should be tailored to the health information behaviour, including interests, literacy and background, of its users. The aim of HIBA is to study how citizens\u2019 health information behaviour influences the use of consumer health technologies and how these technologies can be effectively tailored for a growing ageing population suffering from a chronic condition (type 2 diabetes) to add value to traditional health services.<\/p>\n
