1. Familiarize yourself with the consent and privacy notice here.
2. Download the Ethica (Avicenna) app on your mobile phone. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
3. Create an account within the app.
4. Register for the study by entering the following four-digit code in the app: (registration has closed).
5. Immediately after registration, you will be prompted to fill out a form to decide which language you want to use and to determine whether you are participating in the study for single people or in the study for individuals in romantic relationships.
6. Right after that, you’ll need to approve your participation in the study, and you’ll also receive a background questionnaire to fill out. The form takes approximately 10-20 minutes to complete.
7. The following day, you will start receiving the daily forms at 9:00 PM, and the forms will be available for seven hours, until 4:00 AM. The first few times you fill out the form, it will take approximately 5-10 minutes to answer, but over time, it will likely take around 1-2 minutes as you become familiar to the questions being asked.
8. After 120 days, you will receive a background questionnaire similar to the first one you filled out. At this point, you will have the opportunity to provide an email address to which we will send your personalized feedback profile.
9. After receiving your personalized feedback profile, you will receive a final questionnaire asking you to evaluate your experience with the study and how you perceived your personalized feedback profile.

All data is treated confidentially. If you know someone on the research team and do not wish to be identifiable, you can create a new email address for participation in the study or provide a different email address when requesting your data at the end of the study (you can enter different email addresses during registration and when requesting your data).
