The faculty is located by the Adriatic Coast in an old and beautiful Mediterranean bilingual town of Koper\/Capodistria, just 15 km from the city of Trieste\/Trst and 18 km from a picturesque township of Piran\/Pirano.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_post_content et_pb_post_content_0_tb_body\">\n<p><strong>September 1-3, 2026, Faculty of Humanities, University of Primorska, Titov trg 5, 6000 Koper\/Capodistria, Slovenia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The conference addresses\u00a0<strong>silence in ethnographic research<\/strong>, with a central question of how to understand, interpret, and methodologically grasp silence in its diverse aspects.<\/p>\n<p>Silence does not merely denote the absence of speech or voice; it can also function as a powerful medium of communication. It may be filled with words, affects, emotions, or it can be embedded in bodily memory practices or embodied memory.
