The Swedish Emigrant Institute, supported by the Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies and Kulturparken Sm\u00e5land, announces an international research grant of up to SEK 40 000 (c. USD 3 900) for scholarly research in the collections of the Institute in V\u00e4xj\u00f6, to be undertaken during September 2024 \u2013 June 2025.<\/p>\n
The fellowship is intended to cover travel to and from V\u00e4xj\u00f6, accommodation in V\u00e4xj\u00f6 and a daily allowance to cover enhanced living expenses during the research stay in V\u00e4xj\u00f6. The recipient is expected to spend from one to three weeks at the Swedish Emigrant Institute in V\u00e4xj\u00f6. In addition, the recipient is expected to engage with faculty and students at Linnaeus University\u2019s campus in V\u00e4xj\u00f6 and to give at least one seminar or guest lecture at the university during the stay in V\u00e4xj\u00f6.<\/p>\n
