Join us for the BPM2025 PhD Workshop on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 10:00 till 18:00, at Åbo Akademi University. The doctoral workshop is a pre-event to the Business and People on the Move conference. You do not need to be registered for the main conference to join the workshop.  However, you are warmly welcome to join the conference afterward, it is free of charge and only the conference dinner has a cost. The PhD workshop itself is fully free of charge.

The workshop is open to doctoral students interested in migration and migrants’ economic activities, such as working or starting businesses. The main conference theme is “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges,” but the PhD workshop has a broader scope, covering all kinds of migrant economic participation. We welcome students from fields like Economics, Sociology, Marketing, Organization and Management, Human Rights, and other related disciplines.

This is a great chance to present your research, get feedback, share ideas, and network with other researchers. Among the senior researchers team who are going to give feedback on your research are such scholars as: Maria Elo, Natalia Vershinina, Wilhelm Barner-Rasmussen, Eriikka Paavilainen-Mäntymäki, Stefan Lång, Maria Ivanova-Gongne and others.

Max 250 words, Times New Roman, 12pt, 1,5 lines interval, blinded (add names and affiliations on a separate title page).
