From April 13 to 14, 2026, \u00c5bo Akademi University and the University of Turku jointly organized the 5th national seminar on legal methods in the newly opened Astra building (Porthaninkatu 3).<\/p>\n
The event was targeted at Ph.D. researchers in all fields of law. The participants presented their choice of methods in a panel group, which was chaired by a senior researcher or professor. There were six panels in total: two doctrinal research methods, one historical methods, one empirical methods, plus two panels on mixed methods. I presented my Ph.D. project in the first doctrinal research panel. My panel discussed environmental law, labor law, and energy law.<\/p>\n
The feedback I received was valuable for my research project. It made me reflect more thoroughly on why method choice matters and the limitations of different methods.
