His previous work experience includes being Head of Unit for Marine Environment, Training and Statistics at the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) in Lisbon (2007-2012) and Administrator at the Maritime Safety Unit of the European Commission in Brussels (1997-2003). He has published widely in the field of European and international shipping law as well as environmental law and governance.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Ringbom is a member of the EMSA Administrative Board and past President of the Finnish Maritime Law Association. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the OneSea Autonomous Maritime Ecosystem (www.oneseaecosystem.net) in Finland, the Regulatory working group of the Norwegian Forum for Autonomous Shipping, and the Comit\u00e9 Maritime International&#8217;s international working group on autonomous ships.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Publications:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Books and special issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>G. Other central research interests include international security and legal accountability. He holds a master\u2019s degree in international law from the University of Helsinki. His main areas of interest are the law of the sea and the law of armed conflict, with the topic of his doctoral research being jurisdictional issues on the high seas. Before pursuing a legal education, Albert served nearly a decade in the Royal Canadian Navy<\/p>\n<h3>Anton Eklund<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/research.abo.fi\/sv\/persons\/anton-eklund\">AboCris<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Bio:<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anton Eklund is a doctoral researcher in public international law. My Ph.D. journey at \u00c5bo Akademi University started in September 2024. Before that, I had completed my bachelor&#8217;s and master\u2019s also at \u00c5bo Akademi University.
