Description

A workshop, intended for PhD Students, will be organized on a day before the 2018 Etmu conference. The theme of the workshop is academic publishing, particularly from the perspective of an early stage researcher.

Participation is free of charge.

The workshop will be chaired by Ruth Illman (Docent of Comparative Religion, Director of the Donner Institute for Research in Religion and Culture, editor in chief of Approaching Religion) and Suvi Salmenniemi (Professor of Sociology, University of Turku, editor in chief of Acta Sociologica).

Registration

To join the workshop, tick the box for it as you register for the ETMU conference. Also, write a very brief summary (e.g. with bullet points) of the challenges you have faced with academic publishing and send them by 7th of November to Tuomas Äystö (tjayst@utu.fi). The discussion in the workshop will be based on these sent short papers.
